I started keeping track of the days remaining in research, and it goes down, but not as fast as they show you when you submit your dom-stuff.
Damn, I probably spent another half-a-lifetime on winning some weird game with Big Blue Circles and Small Yellow Lozanges - whatever that is. Got a pretty large hull so I can trade lots of stuff and I'm doing some missions. Now my only concern is to make enough money. Everything became a little clearer when I found a bunch of warships and fighters waiting to jump into hyperspace next to a dominator controlled system. I also found this strange technical item which summons dominators. Played this game 4 years ago, and bought the Reboot from Stardock for 4 bucks which i plan on replaying these days. This is a space game, and putting explorable towns/stations would have been a bit of a stretch Implementing towns a la Megatraveller would have been an overkill for me anyway. Good weapons are harder to find though, since you can't find their power through the search. That's why you have the search function, with which you can find absolutely everything you need(read the manual, every hull type has a name). On some maps, numbers decide the king of the hill.ĭriving around for half a lifetime in this game to find something to put on your ship is not meant to be happening. better firepower doesn't necessarily mean winning the battle. I don't think that the research is shared between science bases. You can improve your chances by sponsoring the construction of military bases, and assisiting them when they jump to liberate a dom infested system(you will find when a military base does that through the news bulletin, i think) You flush the doms out of a system by killing all their ships in that system. A similar thing in the Star Wars-universe would be pretty cool. It would've also benefited from a deeper character system.ĩ. This game could've been very kick ass if they made landing on a planet like a town in Fallout/a location in KOTOR.
I would not by the translator any bears, though.Ĩ. Translation isn't good, but it's bearable. Soundtrack is übercool (Oh, he said über, that's so 90s')ħ.

I just want to blaze in with crazy lasers and space the shit out of everybody who is weaker than me.ĭominators seem to pop up randomly, I've been able to pick off some smaller ships, but how do I rid them from the galaxy? How do I organize an attack? How do I liberate a galaxy? How can I retake a planet controlled by dominators? How can I improve galaxy-defences? Read Bryce's strategy, but it just seems. Usually when I fight the repaircosts outweigh the loot and glory. The only way I've been able to kill _anything_ is with 5 lasers keeping my distance. I've started to get a hang of the basics with trading and equipment. I say trying, because I can't really say that I'm playing with it just yet. So, I've been trying this game for some time now.
